I don't even know if you're still developing this but, when I upgrade my turret firerate i think it does it like 1000x as it's just a stream of bullets.
Not currently, although If I find the project file it would be fun to work on again. I had a lot of ideas for it mainly adding and evolving your turrets. Interesting.. that clearly was not supposed to happen.
